The British Army rolled out these fleeces with the 'Combat Soldier 95' system.A fleece by itself isn't to impressive, but paired with a windproof smock or the likes and it provides plenty of insulation.

Both the collar and cuffs are made with stretchy wool andhave thumb-holes so you can pull the sleeves down over your knuckles.
